Notable Performances:

Jose Devers (Backup 2B): 1-for-2, R, HR, 2 RBIs, DP - Devers had the highlight for the Guardians on Wednesday afternoon with a 432-foot two-run homerun in the seventh inning. It was tracked at 106 mph off the bat. Both of his hits this spring have gone for extra bases after the double by Devers on February 23.

Dayan Frias (Backup 3B): 1-for-2, 2B - The double by Dayan Frias was the hardest hit ball of the day for Cleveland at 107 mph, his first hit of the spring.

Cooper Ingle (Backup C): 1-for-2, R - Ingle kept the bottom of the seventh alive with a single and eventually came around to score on an error. He now has a hit in three of his four at-bats.

CJ Kayfus (Backup 1B): 1-for-2, R, DP - Kayfus singled in front of Devers for the two-run homerun to score for the Guardians.

Khalil Watson (Backup LF): 1-for-2, GIDP - Watson got on with a two-out single in the seventh, but grounded into a double play in the ninth to close the game.

Will Dion (RP): 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BBs, 3 Ks - Dion was the most impressive prospect pitcher on Wednesday with two shutout innings where he retired half of the batters he faced on strikes. He faced three Major Leaguers in his second inning of work as well in Leody Taveras, Joc Pederson and Jonah Heim. He topped out at 93 mph on the fastball and threw it on 15 of his 25 pitches.

Jack Leftwich (RP): L (0-1), BS (1), 0.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, BB, K, WP - Leftwich did not have the same success when he could not make it out of the fifth. He allowed five consecutive Rangers to reach base that resulted in four runs scored, all earned.

Tanner Burns (RP): 2.0 IP, 2 H, R, BB, K, DP - Burns got touched up a little bit in his two innings of relief work, including a solo homerun that added on to the Texas lead.

Ross Carver (RP): 1.0 IP, H, 2 R, 2 BBs, 0 Ks, WP - Carver surrendered a pair of walks and a double that scored a run. A wild pitch allowed a second run to score that otherwise would not have with two outs in the inning.
