Analysis:

Donovan Zsak was once a highly sought-after high schooler with a Virginia commitment. However, his career was affected by two Tommy John surgeries leading up to his redshirt freshman season later. After those setbacks, the power lefty emerged as a high-octane arm out of the Scarlet Knights bullpen. He followed that with a few starts later in the season and most recently pitched out of the starting rotation in the Cape Cod League. Zsak features an athletic frame with projection for a little more strength. He utilizes a high three-quarters delivery with deception to produce a high spin (2,400+ rpm) heater that sits in the low-to-mid 90s and reaches 99 mph. The lefty pairs that with a mid-70s curveball and mid-80s change-up. Due to his short track record, injury history, and command woes, Zsak seems likely to develop as a bullpen arm.
